Our founder and lead designer, Michaela Weisskirchner-Barfod, is an Austrian architect living and working in the hometown of Fabelab, Copenhagen. As a former architect, Michaela, has found inspiration for Fabelab’s products from stories of people around her.
Reusability and upcycling are core tenets of our brand. The products we make are made from sustainable textiles from our supplier in India. We always design our products based on sustainable materials and beliefs. Because being sustainable is something we truly strife for. For Fabelab, sustainable design is about using the right materials and ensuring a long lifespan of the products. Reusability and upcycling are core tenets of our brand. Wherever it is possible, we try to fill our product with Corn Fibre Filling or recycled polyester.
